Jim Baugh's short film "The Milky Way Galaxy Our Home" as seen from the Eastern Shore has won 3 awards of merit from the Southern Shorts Film Festival. An award each for Cinematography, Editing, and Music.

The film has also won best experimental short film at the Madras Film Festival in India.
